About
About Echodyne
Echodyne uses metamaterials electronically scanned array technology to steer radar beams without a mechanically rotating antenna. The resulting systems provide three-dimensional range, direction and velocity measurements from packages small enough for drones, vehicles and distributed fixed-site installations.
EchoFlight supports airborne detect-and-avoid by tracking aircraft and other hazards around a UAV, while EchoGuard and related ground systems monitor low-altitude airspace and site perimeters. The radars feed autonomous navigation or command software with persistent measurements through darkness, smoke and poor weather.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-10-12 - Partnership - Echodyne and ACS sign radar and Bullfrog collaboration
EchoShield provides drone position and velocity tracks through open interfaces into Bullfrog and command-and-control systems. The companies will continue integrated testing and participate in Department of War demonstrations. The collaboration covers fixed sites, mobile and expeditionary forces, and maritime platforms.
Source - 2026-09-29 - Contract Award - Echodyne receives Domestic Shield IDIQ with $250M ceiling
The contracts support the Domestic Shield programme and JIATF-401 C-UAS Marketplace for risk-prioritized military facilities and assets in the United States. The marketplace requires open architecture so new systems can integrate with existing defense networks and compete across multiple vendors. The wider procurement covers layered drone detection and defeat, including optical scopes, robotic weapon stations, compact radars and long-range tracking cameras.
Source - 2026-09-09 - Capability - Echodyne MESA radar integrated into KONGSBERG PROTECTOR C-UAS stations
The configuration combines compact electronically scanned radar with the PROTECTOR station’s tracking and engagement functions. The companies completed a multi-year integration, test and demonstration programme before the disclosure. The design-in covers both RS4 and RS6 configurations for fixed-site and mobile counter-drone applications.
Source - 2026-07-09 - Facility Opening - Echodyne opens Washington radar manufacturing facility
The 86,350 sq ft site is built to support more than 30,000 radars per year, equivalent to over 2,500 units per month. Echodyne framed the expansion around demand from U.S. and allied customers for C-UAS, force-protection, BVLOS and autonomous-system sensing. The company said the facility represents a $40M investment in advanced radar manufacturing capacity.
Source - 2026-06-02 - Partnership - Echodyne and Axon partner on public-safety radar applications
Echodyne’s patented MESA radars are designed to deliver the precision airspace awareness needed to support evolving public safety drone operations, including Axon Air and Dedrone solutions from Axon. There is increasing demand globally for comprehensive detailed awareness of the low altitude airspace in which drones are proliferating.
