About
About Weibel Scientific
Weibel Scientific develops Doppler radar for defence, space tracking, instrumentation and counter-UAS operations. Its systems measure position and velocity of targets ranging from small hovering drones to missiles, launch vehicles and orbital objects.
XENTA X-band FMCW radars detect and classify low, slow and small aerial targets using micro-Doppler signatures; rugged XENTA-M adds short-range air-defence and search-on-the-move capabilities. Larger tracking radars support test ranges, launch safety and space situational awareness. Weibel designs and manufactures critical radar components in Denmark and supplies complete systems with processing and operator software.

Events
- 2026-09-21 - Contract Award - Weibel Scientific wins additional Danish counter-drone radar contract
The procurement extends Denmark’s counter-drone programme after FMI acquired the same radar family for brigade air defence in 2025. The contract includes operational support, maintenance and continuing software updates. The purchase is funded through Denmark’s Accelerationsfonden; FMI did not disclose the radar model, quantity or contract value.
Source - 2025-05-15 - Commercial Order - Kongsberg places Weibel's largest radar order
The radars will be integrated into Kongsberg's mobile NOMADS short-range air-defence system for the Norwegian Army. XENTA is designed to detect and classify drones and other low, slow and small aerial threats alongside conventional aircraft and missiles. Weibel scheduled deliveries for 2026 and 2027, making the order a multi-year production and integration programme.
