  • Test operations began in December 2025 at Kyocera’s Kagoshima Sendai semiconductor-ceramic-package plant.
  • The installed power modules use Maxell’s rechargeable PSB401010H all-solid-state battery in industrial robots and controllers.
  • Kyocera will use the factory tests to assess wider adoption aimed at reducing battery replacement, maintenance and industrial waste.

Maxell develops batteries, electronic components and industrial systems. Its robotics-facing power portfolio includes ceramic-packaged all-solid-state cells and modules designed for high-temperature backup power in industrial-robot servo encoders and controllers, with factory evaluations and commercial component adoption documented in Japan.
