About Amprius Technologies
Amprius Technologies manufactures lithium-ion cells that replace a conventional graphite anode with silicon-rich structures. Its SiCore family offers configurations tuned for energy, power or a balance of both, reaching up to 450 watt-hours per kilogram in high-energy designs and discharge rates up to 10C in power-oriented cells. SiMaxx uses the company's silicon-nanowire anode for still higher specific energy.
The cells are used where battery mass constrains range, payload or operating time, particularly drones, high-altitude pseudo-satellites and electric aviation. Amprius has shipped commercially since 2018 and supplies or qualifies cells with aerospace and UAS organisations including AALTO Airbus, AeroVironment, Nokia Drone Networks and Teledyne FLIR. Production combines its Fremont pilot and anode facilities with contract manufacturers for pouch, cylindrical and prismatic formats. By the end of 2025, Amprius reported more than 4.2 million cells shipped and over 500 customer engagements.
