About GenRobot.AI

GenRobot.AI, known in China as 简智机器人, is a Beijing company supplying training data and recording equipment to robot developers. People use its wearable cameras and hand-operated devices to record tasks such as folding clothes, sorting objects and handling tools. The recordings combine what the person sees with measurements of hand and body movement.

Its Gen Matrix software synchronizes, cleans and labels these recordings so developers can use them to train and evaluate robot models. Customers can collect their own data or obtain processed datasets. The company also publishes RealOmni, a collection of household demonstrations captured with its DAS Gripper devices.

Research

  • GenRobot.AI details whole-body reconstruction from egocentric data

2026-09-08 - Research Publication - Internal evaluation reports approximately 3 cm mean whole-body reconstruction error. Portable multi-camera supervision uses vision-only capture without reflective markers or motion-capture suits. The processing pipeline aligns body, hands, objects, contact and task semantics, then filters invalid frames before export.

  • GenRobot.AI introduces GenEgoData for embodied world models

2026-03-19 - Research Publication - The initial release includes head-view imagery and trajectories. Hand-joint and upper-body motion data are planned for later versions. DAS Ego uses six cameras and an IMU to collect wide-field visual observations.

  • GenRobot.AI releases the first RealOmni-Open dataset batch

2026-01-05 - Research Publication - The programme covers ten task scenarios and more than 30 skills. The announced full collection targets over 10,000 hours and one million data records; these totals describe the planned collection rather than the first batch. Baidu Baige integration supports launching distributed embodied-model training.
