iSentek is a Taiwan-based fabless semiconductor company specialising in magnetic sensing. Founded in 2011, it develops sensor integrated circuits using anisotropic magnetoresistance, tunnel magnetoresistance, Hall-effect and fluxgate technologies, supported by in-house magnetic-sensor and ASIC design. The portfolio covers electronic compasses, angle and position measurement, magnetic switches and current sensing for industrial, automotive, consumer, medical and connected equipment.

For drones and robots, the active IST8310 provides three-axis magnetic measurement and digital output for heading and navigation. Other devices address motor position, mechanism angle and current measurement within automated systems. iSentek supplies ICs, evaluation hardware, drivers and engineering support through authorised channels; equipment makers must integrate the component, control magnetic interference and perform system-level calibration. The company does not supply the finished vehicle, robot or autonomy software.

  • 2024-04-24 - Partnership - iSentek and TDK launch 9-axis motion-detection development platforms

    iSentek and TDK launched the DK-42688P-9x and DK-42670P-9x development kits, combining iSentek’s IST8306 magnetometer with TDK’s ICM-42688-P and ICM-42670-P MotionTracking devices. The kits include a Microchip G55 MCU, InvenSense Motion Link, and embedded Motion Drivers for capturing, visualizing, and tuning motion data. The combined magnetic and inertial sensor stack gives developers a practical platform for evaluating orientation and motion data in compact motion-control systems.
