About OxTS

OxTS combines satellite positioning with inertial measurements to describe where a moving platform is and how it is oriented. Its navigation hardware supplies the trajectory used in vehicle testing, robotic systems and mobile mapping, while accompanying software connects that motion record with other sensor data.

In mapping workflows, OxTS Georeferencer combines INS data and lidar scans into a positioned three-dimensional point cloud. Calibration tools refine the angular and physical offset between the lidar and navigation unit, reducing errors caused by imperfect mounting measurements. This extends the company’s role from supplying a positioning instrument to supporting the alignment and processing steps needed for a usable survey output.
