About Simantic
Simantic creates software representations of embedded hardware so firmware can be developed and tested before a physical board or device is available. The simulator exposes registers, peripherals, timing and device behaviour to the code under test, allowing engineers or AI coding agents to compile firmware, execute it and observe how it interacts with the simulated system.
The platform is intended to provide the visibility that is usually available only through oscilloscopes, debuggers and physical prototypes. Teams can reproduce faults, test edge cases and run automated regression suites without reserving scarce hardware. Simantic therefore sits between firmware generation and final hardware validation, giving both human engineers and AI agents a controlled environment in which to evaluate embedded code before deployment.

- Seungmin Hong - Founder and CEO - Founded Simantic in September 2025 and leads development of simulation infrastructure for firmware and embedded-hardware validation.

Seungmin Hong launched the venture in September 2025; Ahnaf Shahriar joined as cofounder in early 2026. The platform lets engineers and AI systems test embedded firmware before physical hardware is manufactured. Simantic also joined Waterloo’s Velocity incubator in 2026.
