About Ambarella
Ambarella designs low-power system-on-chip processors that combine image capture, video encoding, general compute and neural-network acceleration. Its CVflow architecture runs perception directly on cameras and machines, supporting object detection, classification, tracking, segmentation, stereo depth and optical flow without sending every frame to a remote server. Product families scale across security cameras, vehicles, industrial vision and consumer devices.
Robotics platforms use the same chips for multi-camera sensing, three-dimensional environmental modelling and low-latency decisions. Ambarella supplies software infrastructure and accelerated functions for stereo processing, feature extraction, neural networks and OpenCV, while customers port their own models and control applications. Newer devices also fuse camera data with LiDAR, thermal imaging and 4D radar. This architecture lets autonomous mobile robots, industrial arms and inspection systems share one efficient processor for perception, recording and system control, reducing the power and board space needed at the edge.
