Inertial Sense develops compact inertial measurement, attitude and GNSS-aided navigation modules for autonomous and unmanned systems. Its embedded IMX and rugged sensor families combine calibrated inertial data with onboard sensor fusion, while GNSS configurations add position, velocity and heading for drones, ground robots, surveying equipment and industrial machines.

The company was founded in 2013 and reported more than 30,000 systems deployed across defence and commercial applications by April 2026. Hexagon completed its acquisition of Inertial Sense that month and began integrating the business into NovAtel within Hexagon’s Aerospace and Defence division, extending an assured positioning, navigation and timing portfolio.
