FERNRIDE develops a ground-autonomy platform for container terminals, logistics yards and defence supply operations. Its vehicle kit adds drive-by-wire control, compute, connectivity and sensors to terminal tractors, while the software layer links autonomous driving and teleoperation with terminal operating systems. Operators can supervise or intervene remotely as sites move through staged automation.

The platform has supported productive yard-trucking work with logistics and industrial customers and is transitioning toward driverless operation at HHLA's Tallinn terminal following TÃœV SÃœD certification. Quantum Systems acquired FERNRIDE in December 2025 and is integrating its ground autonomy with the MOSAIC UXS mission-software environment. FERNRIDE continues to cover civilian yard logistics while expanding into defence logistics under its new parent.
