  HTEC will contribute engineering capacity across onboard software, vehicle integration, connectivity and system validation. Embotech retains control of its autonomy platform, certified safety architecture and product roadmap. Embotech says its autonomy solutions operate 24/7 across factories, logistics centres and ports, moving more than 2,500 vehicles autonomously each day.

• 2026-02-17 - Deployment - EUROGATE begins Hamburg operational evaluation with Embotech

  The pilot began in late January and evaluates transport between the railway terminal and container terminal through straddle-carrier interchange zones. AUCOS supplies automated coupling that connects air, power and data through the kingpin, integrated with Embotech's AV Kit. Throughput, availability and process stability are the operating benchmarks; the project builds on the completed Wilhelmshaven feasibility trial.

  The test programme covered 18 use cases, including mixed traffic, precise quay-crane positioning and localisation without GPS. A MAFI terminal tractor used NextG drive-by-wire and Embotech autonomy, connected through ICT equipment-control and terminal systems. The work tested transport and IT integration under port conditions before wider autonomous-terminal adoption.
