About Firestorm Labs
Firestorm’s Tempest family uses modular, additively manufactured airframes that can be configured for surveillance, electronic warfare and other mission payloads. The aircraft are designed around replaceable sections and open integration interfaces so propulsion, sensors and effectors can be changed without developing a new complete platform.
xCell places printing, finishing, assembly and repair equipment inside deployable containers, allowing units to manufacture Tempest aircraft, spares and other components near the operating location. The semi-automated system can operate from generators and reduces reliance on a distant central factory. Firestorm is expanding fielding through a US defence award of up to $30 million and a wider Air Force development contract.
