About
About Ghost Robotics
Ghost Robotics develops quadruped unmanned ground vehicles for defence, public safety and industrial inspection. Vision 60 is its principal platform, using a modular payload architecture for sensing, communications, autonomy and mission-specific equipment across rough terrain.
The company supplies the legged base and integration environment for customer-defined mission packages. Configurations can differ materially in sensors, radios, software and payloads. Commercial evidence centres on the quadruped platform and integrator ecosystem, with mission capability determined by the installed package.

- 2025-12-11 - Product Launch - Ghost Robotics launches manipulator arm for the Vision 60 Q-UGV
Ghost Robotics announced a new manipulator arm for the Vision 60, extending the platform from sensing and mobility into interaction and object-handling workflows. The release positioned the arm as an expansion of the Vision 60's modular payload architecture for defense and commercial field use. Ghost framed the launch as broadening the range of missions the quadruped can perform in real-world operational environments.
Source - 2025-09-23 - Deployment - Ghost Robotics deploys Vision 60 for earthquake disaster relief with Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force
Ghost Robotics said quadrupedal unmanned ground vehicles were used by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force in the Noto Peninsula after the January 2024 earthquake. The robots were used to deliver small payloads, conduct reconnaissance in unstable areas, and support communications where infrastructure was down. Ghost said the platform's four-legged mobility allowed it to traverse rubble, stairwells, and uneven debris-laden terrain during relief operations.
Source - 2025-09-23 - Deployment - Ghost Robotics deploys Vision 60 for autonomous industrial inspection in hazardous refinery environments
Ghost Robotics said it deployed the Vision 60 Q-UGV with gas-detection, thermal-imaging, and visual-inspection payloads to patrol refinery infrastructure. The case study said the robot navigated stairs, grating, narrow walkways, and uneven terrain while operating autonomously or by remote teleoperation. Ghost said the deployment reduced human entry into high-risk zones, lowered unplanned downtime through early anomaly detection, and enabled continuous 24/7 monitoring.
Source - 2025-09-23 - Deployment - Ghost Robotics deploys Vision 60 for autonomous perimeter security at a mountainous Air Force base
Ghost Robotics said it proposed and deployed Vision 60 Q-UGV robots to patrol steep and hazardous terrain surrounding an Air Force base flight-line perimeter. The case study said the deployment reduced the number of defenders assigned to perimeter patrol from three per day to zero, returning 63 hours per month to the base. Ghost said the robots expanded patrol coverage by roughly four miles of terrain that had previously gone unpatrolled because of safety risks.
Source - 2024-07-29 - Acquisition - Ghost Robotics and LIG Nex1 close majority-stake acquisition
Ghost Robotics and LIG Nex1 announced the close of LIG Nex1's acquisition of a 60% controlling stake in Ghost Robotics. The release said the deal valued Ghost Robotics at $400 million, with LIG Nex1 acquiring control for $240 million. Ghost said the transaction would support scaling and next-generation robotic system development across defense and industrial markets.
Source - 2023-01-24 - Partnership - AT&T and Ghost Robotics expand network-connected robotic dog offering for public safety and defense
AT&T said it expanded its solution offering to include network-connected robotic dogs in collaboration with Ghost Robotics for public safety, defense, and commercial users. The announcement tied the robots to FirstNet connectivity, BVLOS command and control, and payload options including cameras, sensors, drones, and robotic arms. AT&T also cited an early military use case at Tyndall Air Force Base, where the robots were used for flight-line and perimeter patrol.
