About KingKong Technology
KingKong Technology builds the sensing and motion hardware inside compact robotic joints. Its patterned-magnetic portfolio spans DPT and DPB dual encoders, MPT single encoders, TPB triple encoders for integrated force-position sensing, and MPP large-hollow-shaft encoders. Across the range, the company emphasises hollow form factors, magnetic interference resistance, tolerance matching and high-speed operation; the published DPT specification lists dual 24-bit output, ±0.01° accuracy and operation up to 20,000 RPM, while TPB adds torque measurement with a 1 kHz response target.
The company is moving upward from components into integrated joint modules. Its TS20 tactile servo combines a permanent-magnet synchronous motor, reducer, triple encoder and driver in a 20 × 35 mm, 35 g body, with 50:1 and 100:1 versions, RS485 communication, backdrivability and force feedback. KingKong also demonstrated Tiaotiao, a six-legged small robot using 22 in-house tactile servos, at the 2026 World Robot Conference. Gasgoo reported a Series A of nearly RMB 100 million in March 2026, with proceeds directed to production capacity, next-generation technology and market expansion.

Events
- 2026-09-11 - Product Launch - KingKong brings TS20 integrated tactile servo to market
The TS20 combines a permanent-magnet synchronous motor, reducer, triple encoder and driver in one compact joint module. The company lists a 20 × 35 mm body, 35 g mass, 50:1 and 100:1 ratios, and RS485 communication. KingKong describes the servo as backdrivable with high-sensitivity force feedback and 3–4× overload capability for dexterous hands, small robots, medical robots and precision automation.
Source - 2026-09-01 - Product Launch - KingKong Technology launches DPB high-dynamic dual encoder
DPB provides dual 20-bit absolute output with dual ±0.05° positioning accuracy. The encoder is rated for a 0.5–1.6 mm shock-resistant dynamic air gap and operation at 20,000 RPM or higher. KingKong identifies integrated robot joints and quadruped robots as target applications and stated that DPB was officially on sale.
Source - 2026-08-24 - Demonstration - KingKong demonstrates Tiaotiao small robot at WRC 2026
Tiaotiao was shown at the KingKong booth and JD.com’s Future Living zone during the 19–23 August Beijing conference. The robot carries 22 compact tactile servos developed in-house, with 44 encoders forming a closed-loop motion system. KingKong demonstrated the robot picking up a building block and placing it on a target, while describing future home-assistance, education and maker applications as development directions.
Source - 2026-08-14 - Award - KingKong Technology wins Beijing regional innovation competition first prize
The project was the ultra-compact, high-precision, force-sensing hollow patterned-magnetic encoder platform. The regional contest was guided by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center and co-hosted by Beijing municipal science and technology authorities and Zhongguancun. KingKong linked the award to its work on compact precision sensing and core robotic components, with further product iteration and volume delivery planned.
Source - 2026-06-18 - Product Launch - KingKong adds torque sensing to robot-joint perception
The triple encoder combines joint-position measurement with torque-related sensing in a single robotics perception solution. KingKong presented the release as a move from dual-encoder position feedback toward force-aware robot-joint perception. The announcement was made at the company’s Perception Evolution, Boundless Future summit and extended its existing DPT, DPB, MPT and MPP portfolio.
Source - 2026-03-25 - Funding - KingKong Technology closes nearly RMB 100 million Series A
Yuanyi Investment led the round, with KST Glory and Haixin Capital participating. Proceeds are directed toward higher mass-production capacity for core products and next-generation technology development. The financing supports KingKong’s expansion from magnetic encoders toward broader robotics sensing and motion hardware.
Source - 2025-12-24 - Production Milestone - KingKong Technology reports 5,000+ encoder sets delivered per day
The company said its daily delivery volume had exceeded 5,000 robotic encoder sets. KingKong linked the output to rising demand for joint-position feedback in humanoid and other robot platforms. The company estimated that this component volume could support roughly 200 humanoid robots per day at downstream system level, based on 25–30 joints per robot.
