MEMSIC designs and manufactures motion and magnetic sensing semiconductors for automotive, industrial, medical and consumer equipment. Its mass-produced range includes thermal and capacitive accelerometers, anisotropic magnetoresistive magnetometers, six-axis inertial measurement units and low-power Hall switches, alongside magnetic encoders and image-stabilisation controllers.
The company combines MEMS sensor chips with signal processing, algorithms and application support. Accelerometers and IMUs measure movement and orientation for navigation, stabilisation and interactive devices; magnetometers provide heading and magnetic-field data; and Hall and encoder products detect position or rotation. MEMSIC operates research and manufacturing functions across China, Europe and the United States and reports more than four billion chip shipments.

- 2022-08-22 - Product Launch - MEMSIC releases MIC6100AL 6-axis IMU for motion sensing
MEMSIC released the MIC6100AL 6-axis IMU for motion-sensing interactive systems. The device integrates a 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis accelerometer. MEMSIC said the product uses a high-reliability MEMS architecture and is designed for game controllers and smart remote controls.
