About Mercado Libre

Mercado Libre operates commerce, payments and logistics services across Latin America. Its managed logistics network links seller inventory with fulfilment centres, cross-docking facilities, sortation sites and last-mile delivery. Within Brazilian fulfilment operations, shelf-moving robots bring storage racks to order pickers, while a newer generation of sorting robots consolidates multi-item orders. Forecasting and routing software also positions inventory and coordinates the movement of orders through the network.

The company is extending that automation programme through a commercial agreement with Agility Robotics. Digit humanoid robots are entering fulfilment work at Mercado Libre's San Antonio, Texas facility, initially supporting repetitive material and tote movement. The deployment is an operating test inside an existing logistics site, with additional workflows and possible Latin American expansion to be evaluated later. Mercado Libre is the warehouse operator and technology adopter; Agility supplies the humanoid robots and its Arc fleet-management platform.
