About Simplimatic Automation
Simplimatic Automation designs conveyor and handling systems that move products between manufacturing processes. Its portfolio includes board and wafer transport, lifts, transfers, accumulation, robotic palletising and depalletising, AMR integration and custom automation. The equipment is used in electronics, semiconductor, medical-device, laboratory, packaging and assembly operations where product orientation and controlled handoff matter.
Engineers begin with the customer’s process flow, takt time, footprint and equipment interfaces, then develop the mechanical system, controls and guarding around those constraints. Simplimatic can connect isolated machines into a complete line or add robotics to an existing conveyor system, with testing conducted before shipment from its Forest, Virginia facility. The company now operates as a Signode brand and provides installation, spare parts, field service and 24-hour technical support across the installed equipment lifecycle.

- 2020-05-27 - Partnership - Simplimatic joins NIST-funded flexible manufacturing testbed
The NIST-funded testbed brought Simplimatic together with CCAM, HURCO, Mitutoyo and Cisco. Simplimatic supplied robotic material-movement equipment, enclosure fabrication, software and integration services. The project was designed to develop and test communications standards for flexible manufacturing cells.
Source - 2017-02-14 - Demonstration - Simplimatic demonstrates three-robot electronics assembly line at IPC APEX
The live line ran at IPC APEX in San Diego from February 14 to 16, 2017. Two FANUC robots placed heat sinks and built a Raspberry Pi enclosure before a UR3 disassembled it for another cycle. The booth also demonstrated Cimtrak PCB handling, laser marking and board-traceability systems.

The September 9, 2014 agreement expanded Simplimatic offerings to include FANUC industrial robots. Simplimatic combined its electronics and semiconductor integration experience with FANUC robotics expertise. The partners targeted modular material-handling and back-end assembly systems for manufacturers reshoring production.
