About Ray Systems
Ray Systems is a UK maritime-robotics company building a layered underwater platform. RayDrive replaces a conventional propeller with a bio-inspired oscillating fin intended to improve efficiency, manoeuvrability and acoustic discretion, while the vehicle architecture accepts mission payloads for commercial, environmental and defence work.
NelsonOS provides the autonomy and mission layer across underwater, surface and aerial vehicles, and RayNet is the company's wider concept for connecting distributed ocean sensors and robots. This combination makes Ray Systems more than an airframe supplier: it is developing propulsion, vehicle control and fleet intelligence as one subsea system, with inspection and survey among its clearest near-term applications.

- 2026-06-16 - Partnership - Tiamat Maritime selects RayDrive for subsea inspection
The selection followed a February 2026 evaluation in Southeast Alaska under cold, operationally representative conditions. Planned missions include offshore-energy inspection, cable and pipeline monitoring, aquaculture assessment and commercial-vessel survey. The partners will collaborate on operational deployment, mission optimisation and integration of autonomy and mission-planning tools.
