The Spanish aerostructures business was founded as Aciturri in 1977 and joined Sonaca through a controlling transaction completed in 2025. Now presented as Sonaca España, it contributes engineering, manufacturing, assembly and supply-chain capabilities across wing, fuselage and empennage structures.   • 2025-12-10 - Partnership - Vertical identifies Aciturri as a Valo development partner

    Vertical identified Aciturri, Honeywell and Syensqo as aerospace partners collaborating on development of the Valo aircraft. Valo succeeds the VX4 prototype with a redesigned aerodynamic airframe, under-floor batteries, new wing and propeller architecture and certifiable redundancy. Vertical plans to build seven certification aircraft and is targeting UK and European type certification in 2028 before commercial service.
