SubCtech develops marine environmental-monitoring instruments and subsea power systems in Kiel, Germany. Its OceanPack family provides autonomous flow-through measurement of seawater or fresh-water parameters including temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH, carbon dioxide, turbidity and nutrients. Configurations include rack, cube, race, aquaculture, buoy and subsea systems, with OceanView software for storing and viewing data.
The company's Ocean Power range covers rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, pressure-rated subsea packs, chargers and energy-storage systems. Vehicle PowerPacks supply autonomous and remotely operated underwater vehicles, while frames and NetDI data loggers let monitoring payloads connect to AUVs or ROVs. SubCtech provides the measurement and energy subsystems; the vehicle manufacturer or operator remains responsible for propulsion, navigation, mission control and the scientific interpretation of collected data.
