About Verdant Robotics
Verdant Robotics develops SharpShooter, a tractor-mounted precision-application system for speciality crops. Cameras and onboard AI identify individual plants as the implement moves through a field, then Aim & Apply technology directs treatment at selected weeds or crops instead of spraying the full area.
The same platform supports weeding, thinning and targeted crop inputs by changing application settings and chemistry. It operates during day or night and records plant-level work for growers. Verdant supplies the commercial equipment, installation and field support; a 2026 integration with Sabanto connected SharpShooter to cabless autonomous tractor operations for unattended precision treatment.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-06-30 - Deployment - Sabanto and Verdant integrated autonomous tractor workflow enters commercial use
Sabanto’s Autonomy System and Verdant’s SharpShooter communicate directly over CAN bus, combining tractor navigation with plant-level application decisions. SharpShooter uses Aim & Apply technology to identify individual plants and weeds and direct inputs only where needed, while the tractor adjusts speed and implement height autonomously. The integrated workflow is already operating in commercial sod production at Bethel Farms and is designed to run extended field operations without an operator in the cab.
