Avarai

Avarai is Wootzano’s integrated robotic packing cell for fresh produce, combining vision-guided manipulation with hands covered in electronic skin. Contact feedback helps the system regulate the force applied to soft produce. The cell also detects stems and snips vine produce, using weight estimation to prepare portions for retailers’ packaging requirements.

The system is designed to fit into the space occupied by a packing-line worker and operate alongside staff. Its workflow joins produce selection, trimming and placement into packs within one station. Wootzano offers the installation without an upfront equipment payment, making the packing system available through an operating arrangement with the supplier.
