WorkFar develops the Syntro humanoid robot alongside an in-house automation and manufacturing operation. Its technology stack includes perception, navigation, manipulation, fleet management, teleoperation, industrial controls and safety, while its automation business also covers conventional industrial robots and fulfilment systems.
The company presents Syntro for industrial and warehouse work where a mobile manipulator can be supervised remotely or operate with onboard autonomy. WorkFar says it manufactures in US factories and offers installation, training and service, creating an integrated delivery model around the platform. Autonomous production scale varies by customer programme and deployment.

- 2024-08-22 - Partnership - WorkFar and IIT outline wheeled-humanoid control collaboration
The project adapts the iCub Avatar architecture to a human-controlled wheeled robot in simulation. Planned interfaces combine manipulation commands with voice and visual interaction. Tactile feedback and locomotion controls are intended to make the simulated avatar’s movements more precise and realistic.

VR goggles show the remote workspace with augmented-reality highlights, while haptic and force-feedback gloves convey object contact. Onboard computer vision, inverse kinematics and physics calculations assist grasp execution after the operator selects a task. WorkFar proposed a monthly service combining the robot, its AI software and a trained remote operator for logistics and manufacturing customers.
