Bedrock AUV

About

About Bedrock AUV

Bedrock Ocean Exploration’s second-generation commercial survey AUV is a compact vehicle for nearshore geophysical data collection. The published commercial specification lists a 300-metre depth rating, 2.4-metre length, 60-kilogram weight in air, three-knot survey speed and a swappable three-kilowatt-hour battery.

Configured sensor packages include multibeam and side-scan sonar, magnetometer and sub-bottom profiling, with DVL-aided inertial navigation, forward-looking sonar and acoustic communications. Bedrock operators run fleets of the proprietary AUVs from ordinary vessels, perform onboard quality control and data preprocessing, coordinate missions through Trident and distribute outputs through Mosaic. This supports production-use survey maturity while keeping exact sensor fit dependent on mission configuration.
