About Husky AMP

Husky AMP is Clearpath Robotics’ autonomous mobile platform built on the Husky A300. It combines integrated navigation sensing, OutdoorNav and a browser interface for planning missions and supervising the robot. Its four brushless motors drive a skid-steer chassis at up to 2 m/s, with IP54 protection and optional wireless charging. Application equipment attaches to the payload deck.

Battery selection changes both endurance and carrying capacity. The 40 Ah configuration averages six hours and allows 81.5 kg on flat terrain or 31.5 kg in demanding all-terrain operation. The 120 Ah version averages 18 hours but reduces those payload allowances to 55 kg and 5 kg. Godelius and Cambrian College have used a modified AMP with a drill, conveyor and cameras to demonstrate autonomous soil-sampling missions; that application remains a research and development system.

  • Clearpath Robotics details Husky AMP autonomous soil-sampling demonstration

    2026-09-15 - Demonstration - The configuration added a custom drill, sample-transfer conveyor, cameras and application sensors to the Husky AMP platform. OutdoorNav carried the system along predefined routes; the drill collected material and onboard cameras supported initial particle-size analysis. Ontario Centre of Innovation’s Centre for Critical Industrial Technologies supported the project, which remained in research and development.

  • Clearpath Robotics announces Husky A300 and autonomous Husky AMP

    2024-10-15 - Product Launch - Husky AMP added pre-integrated navigation sensors, a web interface and optional wireless docking to the A300 chassis. The A300 launch introduced four brushless drive motors, IP54 protection and ROS 2 Jazzy software support. Clearpath planned early-2025 deliveries; application payloads and sensors could be integrated through the mounting deck and OutdoorNav interface.
