About TurtleBot 4

TurtleBot 4 combines an iRobot Create 3 mobile base with ROS 2 compute and development hardware. Standard models add a two-dimensional lidar, OAK-D depth camera and Raspberry Pi computer, while Lite models provide a simpler entry configuration.

The platform supports autonomous docking, mapping, navigation, computer vision and manipulator integration. Clearpath publishes open-source software, simulation models and educational material for laboratories and classrooms. Expansion plates and accessible power interfaces support additional sensors and application hardware.

    2022-05-04 - Product Launch - Both models combined an iRobot Create 3 base, Raspberry Pi 4, 2D LiDAR, stereo camera and an automatic charging dock. Standard added accessible powered USB, power breakouts and a top mounting plate for additional hardware. The May 2022 Clearpath release quoted starting prices of US$1,850 for Standard and US$1,195 for Lite, with shipments planned for July 2022.
