Phantom T-Series

Phantom T-Series is Deep Ocean Engineering's family of compact remotely operated vehicles for underwater inspection. The polypropylene chassis can be configured with three, four or five thrusters, while the T5 uses four vectored horizontal thrusters and one vertical thruster for movement and station keeping. Its standard system combines a 1080p tilting camera, LED lighting, a surface control console and a 300-metre copper umbilical.

The T5 is rated for a top speed of 4 knots and weighs 39.5 kilograms. Automatic heading, depth and trim controls assist the operator, and available payloads include additional cameras, sonar, manipulators, GPS, inertial navigation and a Doppler velocity log. Deep Ocean also offers the T5 Defender configuration for law-enforcement and explosive-ordnance-disposal work. The published 300-metre standard depth rating can be extended to 500 metres as an option, so final performance depends on the selected vehicle and payload configuration.
