Blueye Pioneer

Blueye Pioneer is a portable inspection ROV with four thrusters and automatic heading and depth control. Its tether connects to a wireless surface unit, and an operator uses the Blueye app and a handheld controller to manoeuvre the vehicle and review live imagery. A Full HD camera and onboard lighting support close inspection.

The 2018 configuration is rated to 150 metres and uses a replaceable battery for approximately two hours of normal operation. Top and bottom payload fittings accept additional equipment. Video and dive data can be managed through the app, linking underwater observation with records that researchers and inspectors can review after recovery.
