About Phantom X-Series

Phantom X-Series is Deep Ocean Engineering's electric light work-class remotely operated underwater vehicle platform, represented by the Phantom X8. Six vectored horizontal and two vertical 2.2-kilowatt brushless thrusters provide multidirectional control in strong currents. A polypropylene chassis over an aluminium frame supports heavier payloads and an open integration architecture for survey sensors, sonar, navigation equipment, manipulators and other mission hardware.

The standard imaging system combines a 1920-by-1080 front camera on a mechanical pan-and-tilt unit, a fixed rear camera and three adjustable front LED lights producing 30,000 lumens. Deep Ocean specifies an 850-metre working depth, a 900-metre standard umbilical and a weight of 1,200 kilograms in air. Published thrust is 588 kilogram-force forward and 198 kilogram-force vertically. Configurations are offered for pipeline and infrastructure inspection, offshore-wind maintenance, repair, survey and research operations.
