DYNAMIXEL Y Series

About

About DYNAMIXEL Y Series

The DYNAMIXEL Y Series is a ROBOTIS family of servo actuators alongside the company's P, X, XL and other DYNAMIXEL ranges. It includes YM070-210 and YM080-230 variants with different connector, gear and configuration suffixes, forming a modular motion component for robotic joints.

A Y-Series actuator sits in the joint or drive layer of a robot, where a controller and mechanical linkage use its position, torque and communication functions to produce motion. Connector, reduction, electrical interface, firmware and allowable load vary by motor variant, so the selected suffix determines the usable configuration.

Context

Market context

DYNAMIXEL Y Series is ROBOTIS' newer high-performance actuator family for compact and force-sensitive robotics systems.

  • Target environment: Advanced robotics labs, humanoid platforms, high-load manipulators and force-controlled robot development settings.
  • Workflow context: High-torque modular actuation, force-sensitive control, compact joint design and advanced robot motion experiments.
