About Vulcan

Vulcan mounts behind a conventional tractor and uses cameras, high-intensity lighting and onboard computer vision to distinguish crops from weeds while moving through vegetable rows. High-speed actuators position cultivation blades around individual plants, removing weeds mechanically without relying on broadcast herbicide.

An in-cab interface lets the operator select crop, field and cultivation settings and monitor the implements during the pass. The system can cultivate and break the soil crust in one operation, while software updates extend support to additional crops and field conditions. FarmWise supplies the implement, vision system and continuing agronomic and technical support.

  • FarmWise launches Vulcan weeding implement

    2023-02-14 - Product Launch - FarmWise launched Vulcan, its next-generation intra-row weeder and precision cultivator, at World Ag Expo. Vulcan was named to the World Ag Expo Top-10 New Products list. Pre-orders opened for single-bed and triple-bed models with first deliveries scheduled for late Q3 2023.
