Feather
About
About Feather
Feather is a wheeled dual-arm robot for teleoperation, robotics development and real-world manipulation. Its holonomic base supports movement in any planar direction, while two seven-degree-of-freedom arms provide a combined 23 degrees of freedom across the standard system. Developers can work through Python and ROS 2 interfaces and select different compute configurations.
The standard robot uses 0.7-metre arms, dual hot-swappable 48-volt 50-amp-hour batteries and a compact 500 by 510 millimetre footprint. One-metre arms are available as an option. Each arm is rated for 1.8 kilograms with a stated 6.8-kilogram peak, and the base reaches 1.3 metres per second. Orders are open and early units have shipped in small quantities.
