Ranger Assist

Ranger Assist is a person-to-goods mobile robot that carries totes, cartons, bulk bins or garments between warehouse pick locations. GreyOrange's GreyMatter software assigns orders and directs robots along optimised routes, allowing workers to remain in dynamic zones while the fleet performs much of the walking. Screen colours guide each pick to the correct tote or bin, and configurations can serve several operators across multiple floors.

The platform uses LiDAR SLAM navigation, carries up to 220 pounds and has a listed maximum operating speed of 1.5 metres per second, with a 1.75-metre-per-second option. GreyOrange positions it as an assisted workflow in which people still identify and transfer goods; the robot does not pick individual items autonomously. Deployment does not require floor barcodes or fixed fencing, while GreyMatter synchronises inventory, balances work across zones and coordinates manual and robot-assisted fulfilment.
