Gritt Autonomous Construction Robot

Gritt’s construction automation system equips commonly used machinery with autonomy and off-the-shelf attachments. Its approach limits the need for custom mechanical equipment and allows different machines to participate in a shared site workflow. The system targets physical activities including picking, placing, transporting and assembling materials for solar construction, concrete work and reinforcement installation.

A shared spatial and operational data model connects these activities, so the autonomy system can use a common understanding of the jobsite across tasks. Gritt is also developing planning and verification capabilities around the physical work. These extensions are intended to connect execution with project coordination and checks on completed construction.
