Iver4 900 AUV

Iver4 900 is L3Harris’s autonomous underwater vehicle with interchangeable battery sections for extended surveys. Rechargeable nickel-metal-hydride and lithium-ion configurations offer different energy capacities and endurance. Its carbon-fibre hull separates into portable sealed sections, while onboard solid-state storage and a removable encrypted data module hold mission recordings.

A fibre-optic inertial navigation system works with a Doppler velocity log to estimate underwater motion. Operators use VectorMap to prepare missions and examine data, with separate software for assembling side-scan sonar imagery. Surface radio and Iridium links complement an acoustic modem for underwater communication, and a handheld controller provides local surface manoeuvring.
