SKELDAR V-200

SKELDAR V-200 is a rotary-wing remotely piloted aircraft for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and other civil-security or defence missions. Vertical take-off, landing and hovering let it operate from confined land sites and small ship decks, while high-level commands such as Point-and-Fly reduce the amount of direct piloting required. The aircraft sends sensor information to a control station or remote video terminal in real time.

Its modular payload architecture supports electro-optical and infrared sensors, radar, maritime identification and other mission packages. Saab also describes autonomous day-and-night flight, precision landing and contingency behaviour after a lost link. Heavy-fuel compatibility with Jet A-1, JP-5 and JP-8 aligns the aircraft with naval aviation logistics. A typical system combines aircraft, a remote pilot station and trained operators; it is not an independent consumer drone.
