X2D

Skydio X2D is a folding quadcopter for defence, public-safety and inspection work in close or obstructed environments. Six navigation cameras give the autonomy system full surrounding coverage for omnidirectional obstacle avoidance. Skydio lists up to 35 minutes of flight time, a maximum speed of 25 miles per hour and operation in winds up to 23 miles per hour; the aircraft weighs 1,325 grams with its battery.

The colour-and-thermal configuration combines a 12.3-megapixel colour sensor, 4K video at up to 60 frames per second and a 320-by-256 uncooled thermal sensor. Onboard processing maintains a three-dimensional world model and supports assisted flight skills, while AES-256 wireless encryption and signed firmware address system security. Actual range, endurance and sensing performance vary with radio band, payload mode, weather, terrain and operating permissions.
