LMS511

LMS511 is SICK's outdoor-capable 2D laser-scanner platform for industrial profile measurement. Its 190-degree scan measures distances to surrounding surfaces. The LMS511-10100 PRO measurement-data scanner has a 0.2–80-metre working range, including a 40-metre rating at 10-percent remission, and supplies data for integration into machine and monitoring systems.

The Bulkscan LMS511-20190 configuration is a conveyor flow sensor with a separate 0.5–20-metre working range. Mounted above a belt, it measures the material cross-section and combines that profile with belt speed to calculate volume flow. Mass-flow calculations additionally depend on material-density settings. Ethernet, serial and digital interfaces connect it to process controls; analogue signals require the separate BAM100 accessory. Both identified models weigh 3.7 kilograms, but their processing, operating ranges and interfaces must be selected for the intended installation.
