About TX2-160
TX2-160 is Stäubli's six-axis industrial robot family for higher-payload handling, assembly, machine tending and process cells. The TX2-160 and longer TX2-160L configurations span stated reaches of 1,710 to 2,010 mm and payloads from 25 to 40 kilograms. Variant repeatability is listed between ±0.02 and ±0.03 mm, so planners must match each figure to the selected model and avoid combining family maxima.
The family carries IP65 protection and published maximum speeds between 10.3 and 12.3 metres per second depending on configuration. Those figures describe the robot, not a complete application: tooling mass and inertia, process cabling, mounting, guarding and cell control determine usable performance. The longer-reach and payload choices let integrators trade working envelope against carried load for different factory layouts.
