TORTUGA XP4

Subsea Tech’s TORTUGA XP4 is a 300-metre inspection ROV built around eight thrusters and six-degree-of-freedom control. Four azimuth units are rated at 14 kilograms of thrust each, and the vehicle reaches a stated maximum speed of 2.5 knots. The propulsion layout supports precise station keeping and active pitch and roll control near underwater structures.

XP4 is a configurable carrier for visual inspection, sonar, navigation, positioning and measurement equipment, with a manipulator available for light intervention. The XP4-HYDRO configuration adds an integrated photogrammetry sensor for underwater reconstruction, metrology and documentation of ports, wrecks and offshore assets. Search-and-rescue equipment belongs to the separate XP4-SR configuration, so its battery endurance and specialised sensor suite are not applied to the standard XP4.
