Galaxie Gearbox & Actuator Family

WITTENSTEIN Galaxie is a family of precision gearboxes and integrated drive systems based on individually guided teeth engaging an internal ring gear across a broad contact surface. The mechanism provides zero backlash, high torsional rigidity, torque density and a large hollow shaft for routing cables or services. Product forms include hollow-shaft and flange gearboxes, compact drive systems and miniaturized actuators.

The current portfolio separates accuracy-focused and robustness-focused lines across several sizes and ratios, with published maximum torque spanning 150 to 6,000 Nm for the accuracy range. Applications include machine tools, automation, semiconductor equipment and medical robotics. Exact torque, speed, stiffness, bearing loads, motor pairing and service life depend on the selected Galaxie variant and the engineered axis around it.
