About Zivid 3 XL250

Zivid 3 XL250 is an 8-megapixel structured-light colour camera for large robotic workspaces. It produces synchronized RGB images, coloured point clouds, depth maps and normal maps for depalletizing, palletizing and factory bin picking. The long-distance optical design targets stationary mounting above pallets and large containers, with published working coverage extending to roughly 4.5 metres.

The camera is designed to reconstruct black, shiny, reflective and many semi-transparent items under changing industrial light. Zivid states that complete pallet data can be delivered in under 500 ms for standard use cases, with selectable 0.5, 2 and 8 MP outputs. Reliable picking still requires mounting, calibration, GPU and network capacity, robot-cell geometry, application tuning and validation against the actual SKU mix.

    2026-01-12 - Capability - Zivid 3 XL250 captures complete pallets and bins from roughly 3–4 meters with low-noise, high-resolution point clouds and millimeter-level accuracy, including on reflective materials. The camera’s small baseline reduces occlusion, supports standard pallet sizes and can capture a full point cloud in under 500 milliseconds for demanding picking workflows. Mujin became an early Zivid 3 customer and launch customer; the companies describe improved stability, lower engineering effort and a path toward success rates above 99.9% for multi-SKU depalletizing.
