About Kraken Robotics

Kraken's synthetic-aperture sonar combines seabed imaging with bathymetric mapping in the same survey. The technology is supplied for underwater platforms and in KATFISH, an actively stabilised towfish designed to collect data while moving behind a surface vessel. This connects sensing hardware to the coverage and positioning requirements of marine survey work.

Its SeaPower batteries address a separate constraint on underwater missions: storing energy under pressure. Lithium-ion cells and electronics are encapsulated in a polymer matrix, allowing pressure tolerance without an oil-compensation system or a separate pressure housing. Modular packs incorporate battery management and can be configured for different voltage and capacity requirements, with chargers and power-management equipment supporting vehicle integration.
