About Noitom
Noitom is a Beijing motion-capture company founded in 2012. It develops wearable inertial sensors, optical-inertial hybrid tracking and software under the Perception Neuron brand. The product range includes the portable wireless PN 3, the professional wireless PN Studio and the wired PN Link, supporting body and finger capture across different recording environments. Customers use the systems in animation, games, biomechanics, industrial simulation and robotics research.
Inertial capture follows movement through sensors worn on the performer, allowing recording beyond a fixed optical-camera volume. The current PN 3 and PN Studio configurations add magnetic-interference resistance, while PN Link uses wired sensor connections for continuous sessions and can expand into hybrid tracking. Noitom supplies motion-capture equipment used in human-motion and robot-training workflows. The separate Noitom Robotics business spun out in 2025 to focus on embodied-AI data infrastructure.

- 2021-11-11 - Award - Noitom Perception Neuron 3 named CES Innovation Awards honoree
Perception Neuron 3 is Noitom's compact motion-capture system. The system had launched in May 2021 and weighed just over four grams per sensor. Noitom described robotics, medicine, VFX, animation and game development among its application areas.

The Hi5 VR Glove was developed as an accessory for HTC Vive. The glove uses IMU sensors to relay hand-motion data to a computer in real time. Noitom built the product for immersive hand interaction in virtual environments.

Haitong Kaiyuan and Legend Capital participated alongside lead investor Alpha Animation. The round raised more than US$20 million to support motion-capture research and market expansion. The product portfolio then included Perception Legacy, mySwing golf analysis and the developer-focused Perception Neuron.
