About
About Brecourt Solutions
iDFR places compact drones on charging stations inside protected buildings so a security operations centre can launch one immediately after an alert. Optical sensing and onboard computer vision stabilise flight without GPS, while low-latency video and location data give remote personnel a live view before people enter a potentially dangerous area.
AI Assist supports obstacle awareness and indoor navigation but retains a human operator, with control able to move between assisted and manual modes. ThreatLockAI can maintain visual contact with a subject during tracking. Brecourt specifies more than 20 minutes of flight time and remote links with roughly 0.2-second latency, and integrates the system with existing cameras, detection tools and command-centre workflows for patrol, incident verification and threat response.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-01-28 - Deployment - Brecourt uses Liberty University site to develop indoor drone defense system
Brecourt Solutions used Liberty University to help develop its indoor drone defense system in work covered on 28 January 2026. The iDFR system is an indoor-capable drone platform built to reduce critical-incident response times from minutes to seconds. Brecourt executives described onboard camera navigation, visual cues and remote-response workflows for emergency or life-threatening situations.
Source - 2026-01-12 - Capability - Brecourt details GPS-denied autonomy for indoor iDFR drones
Brecourt Solutions presented GPS-denied indoor autonomy as a core iDFR capability on 12 January 2026. The iDFR system uses onboard sensing, computer vision and edge processing so drones can navigate inside facilities without GPS. AI Assist is a semi-autonomous capability that stabilizes indoor flight, supports navigation and reduces operator workload.
Source - 2025-05-16 - Demonstration - Brecourt demonstrates Close Quarter Drone for ABC7 I-Team
Brecourt Solutions demonstrated its experimental Close Quarter Drone system for indoor threat tracking and response on 16 May 2025. The system uses vision-based autonomous flight in GPS-denied indoor spaces to track a threat and send real-time information to responders. The weapon-disabling approach targets the firearm mechanism rather than the person carrying it.
