About Wing Aviation
Wing designs the delivery aircraft, loading equipment, ground infrastructure and fleet software as one operating network. A merchant prepares an order and places it in the aircraft’s package mechanism, after which the drone follows an autonomous route to the customer. It hovers above a clear delivery point and lowers the package on a tether while remaining airborne.
Remote personnel supervise many simultaneous flights while the software manages routing, weather, airspace and aircraft health. Wing integrates its service with retailers and delivery applications and operates within approved suburban and healthcare networks in the United States, Australia and Europe. The company has completed more than one million commercial deliveries and has demonstrated coordinated daily operations in shared airspace with Flytrex.

- 2026-07-29 - Deployment - Wing and Walmart launch drone delivery from two Greater Orlando stores
The live service launched from Walmart stores in Apopka and Clermont on 29 July 2026. The initial coverage area includes more than 50,000 homes, businesses and apartment buildings. Three additional Walmart locations in Ocoee, Clermont and Haines City are planned to join the network.

The initial operation cut the Nelson Health Centre-to-St George's Hospital route from about 20 minutes by road to just over three minutes by drone. More than 2,000 patients had benefited by July 2026, while Apian reported delivery times up to 85% faster than ground logistics. Planned links include St Helier, Croydon and Kingston hospitals and primary-care sites across a network serving 1.8 million people.

Eligible customers near Sun Valley Commons could order selected Papa Johns items through the Wing app from launch day. Direct integration with the Papa Johns app and Lou AI was described as future work, not part of the initial live scope.

The drone journey takes less than two minutes, compared with more than 30 minutes for the existing road transfer. The service supports blood testing for surgical patients at high risk of bleeding complications and operates on demand on weekdays. The Civil Aviation Authority approved the six-month operation, while NATS is coordinating it alongside crewed aircraft.
