About Braun Sondermaschinen GmbH

The BS Tray Shuttle places a variable-height tray-handling structure on a MiR250 mobile base. It can collect and deliver loads of up to 50 kilograms at different workstation heights, connecting production areas without a fixed conveyor path.

MiR Fleet can coordinate multiple transport requests, while interfaces to production or enterprise software place those movements within the wider manufacturing schedule. Braun engineers and constructs the surrounding assembly or production system in house, then handles commissioning and service.

Timeline

Events

  • 2021-06-01 - Capability - Braun integrates MiR250 and SICK sensors into BS Trayshuttle

The mobile system autonomously transfers KLT containers or tray stacks between palletizers. A height-adjustable transfer surface supports hand-offs from 200 to 1,200 millimetres and sequential service across multiple storage positions. SICK nanoScan3 scanners, FlexiSoft safety control and optical and inductive sensors handle safeguarding, tray position and transfer alignment.
