About Trexo Robotics
Trexo Robotics was founded in 2016 by Manmeet Maggu and Rahul Udasi after Maggu’s nephew was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The founders combined robotics training from the University of Waterloo with clinical and family input to build a paediatric system that could support frequent, repeatable walking rather than limiting gait therapy to occasional clinic sessions.
Trexo Home is configured for family use, while Trexo Plus supports rehabilitation centres and therapy providers. Powered joints guide the child’s legs through a programmable gait pattern as the walker supplies balance and weight support; therapists can adjust assistance and track activity over time. The company’s evidence base includes hospital and research collaborations as well as long-running household use. Availability and regulatory positioning vary by market, and Trexo is currently unavailable in the United States.
