About Humotech
Humotech develops wearable-robotics platforms for testing prostheses, orthoses and exoskeletons with people in the loop. Its Caplex systems use programmable actuation and modular wearable devices to reproduce different mechanical behaviours, allowing researchers and clinicians to compare assistance strategies ahead of building or selecting a fixed device.
Laboratory, benchtop and backpack-scale systems drive ankle, foot, pylon and hip modules through Bowden-cable transmissions and editable control software. The Open Source Leg adds onboard knee-and-ankle actuation for overground research. Humotech also offers an FDA-registered Clinical Caplex service that emulates commercially available prosthetic feet during sitting, standing and walking, supporting patient and clinician decisions with measured and experiential data.
